About

The Midwest Interdisciplinary Graduate Conference is produced by graduate students in the Modern Studies program in the Department of English at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The conference is generously sponsored by the Center for 21st Century Studies, the Department of English and the College of Letters and Science. We created this conference as a venue for graduate students from a diverse array of disciplines to share their research in a supportive and critical environment. As such, we welcome submissions from those who have conference presentation experience and those looking for professional development opportunities.

The fourth annual Midwest Interdisciplinary Graduate Conference at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee seeks submissions for “Faking It! Production, Knowledge, Authenticity,” a graduate student conference to be held February 20-22, 2009, in conjunction with the Center for 21st Century Studies and its 2007-09 research theme “Past Knowing.” For more information about this year’s graduate conference, please check back in a week for the official press release and CFP posting.
